Dr Lisa Hester is an artist and academic based in Limerick, Ireland. Her work includes lecturing, writing, and socially engaged projects. Inspired by depth psychology, Lisa is interested in how symbolic imagery can prompt dialogue and help people articulate complex experiences. Much of her creative work takes place in schools, special education settings, and care-home environments, where participatory making supports expression and reflection. Recent projects have been supported through the Artist in the Community Scheme (2025), the Arts + health Emerging Artist Bursary (2025), and the Irish Hospice Foundation’s Seeds Grand (2024).
